Cedar-Plank Salmon

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 untreated cedar plank
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Soak the cedar plank in water for at least one hour before grilling.
  2. Whisk the brown sugar, mustard, and oil, then brush it over the seasoned salmon.
  3. Place the salmon on the plank, top with lemon slices, and set over medium grill heat.
  4. Cover and grill for fifteen minutes until the salmon is opaque and lightly smoky.
