Molten Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 6 oz dark chocolate
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 0.33 cup sugar
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter together until smooth, then let cool slightly.
  2. Whisk the eggs, yolks, sugar, and vanilla until pale and thick.
  3. Fold the chocolate into the eggs, then fold in the flour and salt.
  4. Divide into buttered ramekins and bake at 425 degrees for twelve minutes until set at the edges but soft in the center.
